HOW OUR PLANTERS ARE MADE - THE 3D PRINTING PROCESS
We believe 3D printing is the perfect balance of thoughtful design and responsible manufacturing.
- It allows us to create beautiful sculptural forms with minimal material waste.
- Manufacturing only what’s needed.
- Produce locally in Melbourne, Australia.
The result is a planter that’s lightweight, durable, functional and designed to be enjoyed for years.
Crafted from plant-based PLA material, our planters offer a more renewable alternative to traditional petroleum-based plastics. Providing lightweight, durable products.
3D Printing Questions Answered
Rather than being moulded all at once, 3D printing technology carefully forms each planter by depositing thin layers of molten PLA material one on top of another building up layer by layer until it has crafted the final design.
3D printing has many sustainability benefits:
1: Made to order with minimal material waste: Uses only the material required for the finished product. No overproduction, no excess waste.
2. Lightweight material: which is why it’s a great option for wall mounting. 3D printing allows the creation of products that are strong while using less material.
3. Sustainable material: Unlike conventional plastics that are derived from fossil fuels, PLA (Polylactic Acid) is made from renewable plant sugars, typically sourced from corn starch or sugarcane. This is great because it reduces reliance on finite petroleum resources and instead uses annually renewable feedstocks.
PLA has lower manufacturing emissions meaning a lower carbon footprint compared with many conventional plastics and more resource-efficient production.

Yes. Our planters are designed for everyday indoor use and are surprisingly strong despite their lightweight construction. They won’t rust, won’t rot and won’t shatter like ceramic if accidentally knocked.
The subtle layer lines are a natural characteristic of the 3D printing process. Rather than being a flaw, they showcase how each planter is individually crafted and give every piece its own unique texture and character.
Yes. PLA is well suited to indoor planters and won’t be damaged by regular watering of your plants. Our integrated drainage system and drip tray are designed to work with the material, keeping your plants healthy while protecting your walls and furniture.
Our planters are designed specifically for indoor use. While PLA can tolerate occasional outdoor exposure, prolonged direct UV light and high temperatures may cause fading or reduce the material’s lifespan over time.
PLANTER USE, CARE & WATERING
Mess-Free Indoor Plant Display
Our wall planters feature an integrated twist off drip tray that catches excess water, giving you the confidence to display plants on your walls without worrying about drips or water damage.Ā

There are two ways to use your planter:
- Plant directly into the planter using potting mix.
- Keep your plant in its original nursery pot and simply place it inside the planter.
Both options work perfectly. The built-in drip tray is designed to catch any excess water that drains from the soil.
For Planters with a Removable Drip Tray
For the easiest watering experience, we recommend:
- Slide the planter out of the wall mount.
- Unscrew and remove the drip tray.
- Water the plant over a sink or outdoors.
- Allow any excess water to drain completely.
- Reattach the drip tray and slide the planter back into the wall mount.

A Few Helpful Tips
The drip tray is designed to catch small amounts of excess water after watering.
Make sure to check the drip tray occasionally and empty any collected water before it becomes full.Ā While the tray comfortably catches normal drainage, overwatering or filling it beyond capacity may cause water to escape at the connection where the tray attaches.Ā It is not completely watertight where it joins the planter and canĀ leak at the connection.
