PRODUCT FAQ

All of our planters and products are made by 3D printing. They have been thoughtfully designed by humans and printed by machine.

Each planter is made from PLA, a sustainably formed bioplastic that’s derived from renewable, organic natural sources such as corn starch or sugar cane. PLA is a light weight, sustainable, non-toxic and biodegradable material.

Because of these properties, it is recommended not to expose to direct sunlight/UV light which is why they are for indoor use only.

The 3D printing method is based on creating and building up many layers. This process is unique and can sometimes produce slightly visible layer and/or margin lines. Whilst we always strive for a quality printed product, there is a chance they can sometimes have these small, unavoidable imperfections, which is just part of the creation process.

How long will it take to receive my item?

With most of our items we print on demand, so your item is sent to print within 24 hrs of receiving your order. Depending on the size of your order it may take 1-3 days to print. Your finished item will then be sent out to you within approx 5-7 days of ordering.

What if I don't want holes in my walls?

The great thing about our wall mounts is that they have the option to be screwed or stuck with wall adhesive strips, so they are friendly for renters who don’t want to damage the walls by putting holes into the wall. The mounts have dedicated inserts cut into the back of the mount for the adhesive strips to sit within, meaning when the strips are pressed together they will still sit flush with the wall. How much weight will the adhesive mount hold?

If you are sticking your mount to the wall with the 3m adhesives, this will support up to 5kg in weight using 3 sets of medium velcro strips.

How much do your planters weigh?

Our planters range from approximately 300gms to 550gms in weight.

Because our planters are made from a bioplastic material, they are actually quite lightweight, which is one of the great benefits of our planters and why they are ideal for the wall.

Example: Our Meridian Planter with a potted plant weighs just over 1kg (1.050kg)

Are your planters self watering?

Our wall planters are NOT actually self watering, they ARE however self draining. Most of our planters have drainage holes with a removable drainage tray/base – so your plants can drain excess water which collects in the base and can then be removed easily.

Will my planter leak water?

The planter will only leak if you over water your plant, or don’t regularly empty the drip tray. The drip tray is designed to hold a small amount of excess water that is drained from the pot, so if overfilled it can leak from the join where it is attached the the pot. We recommend emptying the drip tray before each watering to ensure it doesn’t overfill.

Can I request a custom colour combination?

We do offer the option of custom colour requests. While we currently just have the standard colour options available to select with each product, if you have seen or want something custom, we encourage you to contact us direct via email (hello@flourishandform.com.au) and we can see if we can accomodate this request for you. We can offer custom colour combinations for the mount, planter pot and base/drip tray from the range of colours we offer.

Are your planters and mounts interchangeable?

All of our range of planters (with the exception of the Hive) are interchangeable between mounts. This means the planters all use the same wall mount, so you can change planters between mounts, and between the rail systems – wall rails and freestanding rails/plant stands

How long can I expect my planter to last?

So long as you follow the care guide instructions which we provide on our site your item should last for years and years. The PLA substance can be compromised if you display your pot in full sunlight or if you don’t keep it indoors. If you drop your pot it can receive damage and scratch, crack or even break (depending on impact).

I don't trust 3M adhesives won't fall off the wall...

I get you might have trust issues if this has happened before, but we have planters mounted on our own walls in our home using the 3M adhesive mounting options and trust me they are very secure. So long as you follow the mounting instructions – clean the wall first and let the adhesives set properly overnight before putting weight on. Each velcro connection also needs to be througherly clicked together, (apply hard pressure pressed against the mount to connect them – listen for the clicks) then these should not seperate.

What's provided with my planter?

We do provide a set of metal self drilling anchors & screws with our planters. If unable to screw into a stud, then these anchors are a great NO DRILLING REQUIRED option for plasterboard, simply hammer into the wall.

You can add on the Command 3M adhesive picture hanging strips for a small cost to be included with your wall mount.
